... really, I swear! I've spent the majority of my 'at-home' time uploading pics of scrumadilly nosh taken over the last few months. Just looking at them all makes me hungry. Oh, the life I live...
I am by no means a professional. I worked in two bakeries for a short period of time in high school & university. I was then a manager at a fast food joint. That is the extent of my food-based employment - only some of it was enjoyable.
I have always loved food. It's an affection that comes from stimulating one of my five senses. People adore beautiful art, some like music. Others enjoy the gob-smacking fun of popping bubble wrap. While I enjoy all of these, I also love food. As I don't find the need to dance, sing or rummage through miscellaneous packing materials on a daily basis, I do find it necessary to eat. When I do, I want to enjoy it.
I bake something nearly every weekend during the colder months. During the week my husband and I try to take some sort of international journey in cuisine via our dinner. A gondola ride in Venice, blooming Japanese cherry trees, dry, scented grace of Aussie Eucalypts... or a journey through the Maritimes of Canada - a solid contender in great food...
The pleasure I get from great food, prepared to be delicious and bring happiness, is the reason I love food. And more-so, the reason I love to share it.
